    Aledanda, a Milan-born photographer, uses her art to convey her personal thoughts and emotions, creating images primarily for herself. Her work is deeply influenced by her childhood memories, extensive travels, the challenges of motherhood in her forties, and an enduring sense of restlessness. At 20, she left Italy for America, experiencing life in Hawaii and California before settling on the East Coast in her forties. She now splits her time between a horse farm in Pennsylvania and a home in Lake Como, Italy. Despite lacking formal training, Aledanda has honed her craft under the guidance of mentors John Paul Caponigro and Alison Shaw.
